2004F Hard drive replacement
I have just replaced my Hard Drive after a complete failure with a new one. I now have an error 2004F on screen. Does anyone know how to fix???

It would be helpful if you indicated the EXACT model/year Mac that you have and the current OSX.

It is the 2010 model 13 inch, I have el capitano, the latest one. It 500gb with 4gb Ram
Your best chances of success to format and install the OSX is to use the original Snow Leopard disks that came with the MBP. When you have installed the original OSX, run the Snow Leopard combo update:
https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1399?locale=en_US
That will then meet the requirements to install any newer OSX (such as El Capitan).
